It’s Monday and I feel great! Today let’s talk about shifting our perception. I felt this is an important topic to discuss since it came up during my quiet meditation. Often when we are alone with our thoughts, we tend to forget to mind our thoughts. We be thinking about so much things without realizing that it shapes our reality. Hence the saying “you are what you think” as well as “you are what you attract”.
It is so important to be mindful of our thoughts. Because our thoughts shapes our reality through the actions we take based on our thoughts. Deep right? Let’s go deeper…. What if I share with you on how you can change the reality of your circumstances? It’s rather simple, but people make it difficult. I was one of those people who made it difficult. I kept repeating the same story of how I overcame things in my life. And it seemed like there was more stuff for me to overcome. I’m like okay something got to change, because this right here I’m tired of struggling and enduring.
From there I had to learn how to change the narrative of my story. I shared how I overcame circumstances, but I needed to share what the circumstances had taught me from a positive perspective. For example, my circumstances taught me to respect and love myself. Self love is a beautiful thing that makes me feel good in my skin. I radiate love, happiness, peace, and gratitude. My glow lights up and touch the souls of so many people no matter where I’m at. And because of how contagious my self love is, it encouraged the next person to go on their self love journey.
You see how I changed the narrative of my story from talking about overcoming my struggles to acknowledging what I’ve learned. It was only possible by changing the way how I perceived my circumstances. My thought process changed to being grateful for every circumstances, because of the lessons I’ve learned. I used the lessons to flourish from within while expressing my gratitude. Remember every circumstances is not a loss, it’s always a lesson for your own betterment.
When you start changing the way you think, your reality will change as well. Remember to always find the good in everything no matter what. It’s not hard to stay positive even in the midst of people who are always negative. Just don’t let their negativity consume you and remember you don’t have to tolerate the negativity. Excuse yourself from the conversation if you have to. Protect your energy. Laugh and smile as much as you can daily. Have a beautiful day!
