Great Ra’sing readers! How is everyone feeling? I hope you are getting through each day the best way you can especially around the holidays. Before we dive into the blog, let’s set our intentions. May our day be filled with gratitude, abundance, happiness, peace, productive, and sound reflections. May we continue to be appreciative of our life and the lessons it comes with. May our work be our answers for good for ourselves and our family. So mote it be. Asé!
Holidays can be difficult for some and for some it brings happiness. Ask yourself what does the holiday means to you. How does it make you feel? Holidays can also be a time of reflection. Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving for some were a time to reflect on relationships and gratitude of family and/or friends. For me, I reflected on how I used to have big gatherings at my house to it just being my children. I definitely miss it, but my peace is more important than anything.
When you get to a point in your life to avoid drama, you make certain lifestyle changes. At some point you realize that life is not fulfilling when it is full of drama. And you also realize it is a waste of time. Time is too precious to be wasting. Time is not something we can get back. Each of us have an hour glass that we can not see nor know when our time is up. We have to use our time constructively and for the betterment of our well being.
We are in the last month of 2022. Whatever holiday you celebrate in December, take time to reflect on what you want to do differently. Leave whatever that is not benefitting you in this year of 2022. Don’t bring it into the new year of 2023. Yes, there may be some chapters with people you may need to close and/or not reopen it. Just thank them for the lessons they’ve taught you and let them go. You always hear that “people are in your life for a season.” And I hope that whatever season they’ve departed, the lesson was learned to fulfill your growth/maturity. And as they always say,”Life is the best teacher”.
With all that being said, embrace your growth and maturity. Be thankful for the time you are given each day to make a difference. Whether that be a difference in your own life or someone else’s. But most importantly celebrate the small and big wins that nobody knows about. And keep in mind that you are the “win”, because of your dedication, consistency, discipline, and all. Thank you for taking the time to read this blog filled with rubies of wisdom. Until next time my readers, make the best of December, the final month of 2022. Goddess Kamil with a K.
Great Afternoon my readers!! It’s been awhile since I post a blog. I’ll be sharing with you about what’s been going on with me. But before I do that, let’s abundant our day. May we abundant the day for ourselves and our family. May our work be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May we continue to be grateful for life so that we may continue to experience gratitude, abundance, happiness, laughter, smiles, and everything else that serves our higher good. So mote it be ASE!
These past few months has been flying and here we are in the winter season. Well where I’m at, we had a snowstorm last night. Today they issued a travel ban. Snow plows been stuck on the speed bumps. These speed bumps were installed over the summer and here we are dealing with the headache behind it. Welp they just goes to show that my city didn’t think about the trouble it would cause in the winter. Enough about my city, just know we’re cold over here. Brrrrrrr.
As many of you may know, I’ve been teaching sign language to the community as well as spreading hearing loss awareness. I’m currently teaching at a charter school grades k to 8th. The kiddos definitely keep me on my toes to keep them interested and engaged. What I noticed is that kids learn best and quicker through play. So all my lessons are through play and I love it. It really gave me an amazing idea how I want to move forward with my future lessons. I’m so grateful for the opportunity the community has given me to teach them something of importance. My heart is forever full.
As I continue evolve and elevate in my greatness, people I once trust and looked up to removed themselves from my circle. And there were a few I had to remove myself and trust me it wasn’t easy. You’re probably asking how it wasn’t easy when you can simply just stop associating with them. It’s not easy as it seems and I’ll tell you why. The pill that was hard to swallow was accepting the fact that people won’t and don’t want to see you as how you see them. Ouch! You may look at them as a friend, sis, bro, family or what else, but they don’t see you like that. Ouch again!
But let me tell you, the journey to success is a lonely road. However at the same time it’s rewarding. It depends how you choose to perceive it. There will be many people who will talk about you, because they lost the privilege to be in your presence and to even talk to you. Therefore they’ll do whatever is necessary for them to feed their ego and to feel good about themselves. Don’t even let that get to you and don’t entertain the nonsense. It’s a powerful thing when you master your emotions. No response is a powerful response itself.
Now with all that being said there is one month left in 2022. Think about what you are going to leave behind in 2022. And think about what you will be starting 2023 in. Think of a theme for 2023. My theme for 2022 was “Self Love” and I’m finishing 2022 off strong. I’ll be doing another post sooner than you know to talk about themes. Remember you are privileged no matter what you have and what you lack. You alone is enough! I look forward to writing again and I should have a new name for the blog as well. That’s gone be a post itself. Until next time, be grateful for you and love on you! Goddess Kamil with a K
Great Ra’sing Readers! Happy Tuesday! It’s another day for me to share my rubies of wisdom. It’s another day to be GREAT! Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family! It shall be done!
Readers I hope you had a good night’s rest. My night was kind of stuffy due to the dry air. I forgot to put a bowl of water in my room to retain moisture. It’ll definitely be easier to breathe.
Today let’s focus on our gifts/talents. What are your gifts/talents? Have you been utilizing them? Or have you been allowing them to expand with greatness? Our gifts/talents are given to us to make the world more meaningful and full of purpose. Sometimes people are clueless about their gifts/talents, because they don’t pay attention to what they are capable of doing. Marie Curie said it best, “we must believe that we are gifted for something!” One of those gifts/talents will lead us to our passion. As Massimo Bottura puts it “one day, if you have a little bit of talent and a lot of hard work, you’re going to find out who you are.” How exciting is that? To know that our talent and hard work will add to our characteristics does wonder to our work ethic.
I look at our gifts/talents as a whole bunch of presents that are waiting to be opened. As you open each present, be prepared to embrace whatever you’re about to discover. Remember these discoveries are from within that needed to make itself known to you and the world. When we are operating in our gifts/talents, we should be feeling a sense of peace and power within us knowing that we are doing our part to make the world a better place. Susan B. Anthony once said, “the older I get, the greater power I seem to have to help the world.” I can relate, because as I matured, I started utilizing my wisdom, then I felt this peace and power to share my wisdom. It’s so much wisdom within me causing me to speak life. Daily my friend sends me amazing quotes which I’m very appreciative of. The type of quotes he sends me always have me in my intuitive state to search for a deeper meaning. This one stood out, “Don’t try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say” by Barbara Kingsolver. I wouldn’t dare stress myself in trying to figure out what people would like to hear from me. There is power in my words and I know what I say and write will always resonate with someone.
Cynthia Ozick said it perfectly; “We often take for granted the very things (gifts/talents) that most deserve our gratitude!” Are you expressing gratitude for your gifts/talents? If not, why are you wasting them? Don’t let anymore time go by not crafting/honing your gifts no matter where you are. Trust and believe that your gifts/talents are your abundance of wealth, health, happiness, peace, and so much more. Stop doubting what you’re capable of doing. William Shakespeare said, “our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.” That’s deep! Doubts never have our best interest at heart. All it do is have us project fear of failure into the universe without realizing failure is apart of life, that’s if you get back up and try again. It may take three to six tries before you get it right, but all that matters is that you tried and got stronger and more determined after each try.
Let’s take playing the video game for an example such as Super Mario Brothers. That was my favorite game on the Nintendo system during my childhood while growing up. Each level that my character died despite alternating between Mario and Luigi, I became more determined and optimistic to beat the level. I made sure I had Yogi to help my character whether that was to jump high and/or eat those creatures. And when I passed each level, I would yell “yessssss!! About time!!!!” I know ya’ll can relate when playing any game especially chess. I love to say “Checkmate!” The point I’m trying to make in the words of Stephen King, “Optimism is a perfectly legitimate response to failure.” Failure is apart of life, but having optimism is what makes failure a learning lesson to try another way to accomplish whatever it is we’re trying to accomplish.
I enjoy writing this blog, but that’s nothing new especially when I love sharing rubies of wisdom. With all that being said my lovely readers, I challenge you to rediscover your gifts/talents, hone them, and acknowledge their purpose for you and others. But I must warn you with this message I received from my ancestors a few days ago, “stop putting people on your platform that don’t support you nor acknowledge their gratitude to you!” DEEP!!! That was definitely a message for me knowing I love to see people win and I clap for them. With my gifts/talents, I put them on my platform, but they don’t thank me, nor support me nor clap for me. So what does that tells me? It means that my gifts/talents are not to be shared with everyone in other words they cannot utilize my gifts/talents for their own personal gain. Why? Because they are not me and they can’t do what I do! This is why it’s important for people to tap into or rediscover their gifts/talents. There are no short cuts in trying to take and/or use someone else’s gifts/talents. I’m going to leave this quote with you by Beyonce Knowles, “Don’t try to lessen yourself for the world; let the world catch up to you!” Here’s a quote from my book; Evolution of Spiritually Nakedness, “Never take anyone’s doubts of your abilities to heart. They see your capabilities even when you don’t see it” Kamil Gerald.
Abundance, peace, prosperity, happiness, and good health!
Happy Friday!!! Today is a GREAT DAY! Every day is a great day when you set your intentions on it. You have the ability to create your day through your thoughts. May the Universe abundant our rising for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. Namaste!
As we approach the weekend, let’s take time to reflect on our mind, body, and soul. It’s a necessity that we do so they are in alignment with each other. Let’s start off with our mind. We need to be mindful of the things we think. In other words when we’re alone, we need to mind our thoughts. You ever hear the saying that “we are what we think?” If your mind is cluttered, chances are your office, home, or any space is cluttered as well. When our mind is at peace, we are usually organized.
A cluttered mind can lead to stress, depression, and anxiety. It’s best to do one thing at a time whether that’s handling a situation, sorting paperwork, etc. Multitasking is sometimes never good. Set each day of the week of what you want to focus on. And focus on only that one thing for the day. You’ll see that you get a whole lot of stuff done than you do when you’re multitasking. Fridays are usually my days to sort any paperwork from the week. I like to be organized, but I do like to be spontaneous because it makes life exciting and full of surprises.
Our body is our temple. We must take good care of it especially if we want to live a long productive life. You are whatever you feed your body. We bloom like a flower when our body is nourished with fruits and vegetables. And it’s at its strongest when we take care of it. The body can heal itself when it is fed with appropriate nutrients. Without the proper nourishment, the body have difficulty doing its job. When this happens, the person develops ailments which can be reversed and/or in remission with a lifestyle change. Lifestyle changes consists of changing eating habits, exercising, drinking plenty of water, etc.
When our mind is in a good state, we make better choices for our body. From there our soul is rejuvenated. Our soul depends on our mind and body to work together to bring out our glow. When we feel good, the soul let it radiates from within us. People around us would recognize our energy and may become attracted to it. Who doesn’t want to turn down good energy? I know I don’t. I love good energy and it makes life worth living.
With that being said, take care of your mind, body, and soul so they can take care of you! Have an amazing weekend!
Happy Monday! Abundant the rising for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. ASE!
How was your weekend? Did you spend time with family, friends and/or pets? Or did you relax and enjoy the weather? Hopefully your weekend was productive. My weekend was very interesting. I did a lot of reflecting, spent time with my children and worked on my projects.
During my reflection I was reminded to see things for what they are. There was no need to stress myself over situations I could not control. There was a lot of forgiveness I had to work through to make sure I actually forgave the person. From that moment on I decided to choose peace in every aspect of my life. I’m not wasting any more energy on proving someone wrong, overthinking, etc. If anything was disrupting and/or costing my peace, I eliminate the source out of my life.
We all want to be at and in peace. Peace gives us a sense of assurance knowing that everything will be okay. Peace keeps us in a calm state which is very beneficial for our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. In everything you do, do it with peace coming from your heart.
Have a productive day full of peace. Take time to experience the aroma of peace which is usually embracing the stillness/quietness. It’s so therapeutic.
Great Ra’sing!! How are you feeling? Hopefully great! Let’s abundant our rising with great intentions for ourselves and our family. May our work and pure intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. Much gratitude for life and all the things we have.
Today’s blog post is a difficult one. I had to share my revelation of pain that I had experienced yesterday. I cried my eyes out, but soon felt better when a vision of I speaking among thousands of people crossed my mind. I was a motivational speaker touching lives. From there I was directed to the purpose of my pain. It led me to my passion which is to speak life!
No one wants to deal with emotional pain. But how would we know our strengths and potentials? Pain show up in our lives for a variety of reasons. How we look at and/or receive pain determines how we will move forward in life. Often times pain is teaching us a lesson.
I had this built up pain for years. I thought I overcame it all, but I realized I wasn’t fully healed from the hurt. I gave my all to my biological families, foster family of 10yrs, my siblings, friendships, employment, marriages and the in laws. They had my loyalty. But they couldn’t replenish me with the same loyalty. I was beyond hurt. It made my abandonment issues much harder to deal with. It was so hard to pick up the pieces of the puzzle in my life. I kept asking myself do they love me or did they love what I did for them. Turns out they loved what I did for them whether it was intentionally or unintentionally.
What I’ve learned from dealing with these people is that they confuse manipulation, materialistic things, and favors with love for me. Although I demonstrated my love for everyone I’ve interacted with, they couldn’t demonstrate their love for me in a way I needed to be loved.
No love lost though, but I had to cut off their access to me while setting healthy boundaries to protect myself from further hurt. I no longer have high expectations of people. I no longer re-respected people who I’ve put in a position to not ever deal with them again. Yes it hurts especially when they’ve made it clear that it was more important to be my enemy than my ally. Most enemies we have usually come from those we’ve helped. Don’t sweat it at all! They did you a favor by giving you fuel to turn your pain to passion.
Often times when we’re faced with pain, we beat ourselves up which only leads to more pain. We’ll drink and party to numb the pain. We say all this, “I wished, I was hardheaded, I could’ve, I should’ve l, etc.” to ourselves. It may be true, but we must believe and realize that we didn’t lose anything. Some of you are probably saying “how is that even possible?” Every loss is not a loss, instead it’s a lesson. And it’s up to you if you want to heed the lesson or not. Now if you refused to heed the lesson then that’s on you. The lesson will keep reappearing in different situations/people until you heed it.
With that being said, look at pain from a different angle. Treat it as a lesson to learn from instead of a loss. Check me out on the Growing Pains For Evolution podcast on Anchor https://anchor.fm/s/7d3096ac/podcast/rss, Spotify, Google Podcast and Apple Podcast. May you be blessed with abundance, prosperity, happiness, and good health.
Happy Tuesday! Let’s set our intentions for today. We abundant our rising for ourselves and our family. May our works be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. Today is a great day! How do you feel? I feel good. I look forward to seeing the sun again. Yesterday’s weather was so beautiful and warm. The sun was shining forever so beautifully while melting the snow. I look forward to spring. Spring means new beginnings.
I look forward to seeing butterflies and colorful flowers. This is the time to start planting seeds of different fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, squash, tomatoes. Gardening is very rewarding and therapeutic. While gardening you’re connecting with Mother Earth. Take comfort in feeling the soil of the ground with your feet and hands. Mother Earth is the provider and gives us whatever we need for our body. Let’s have some fun with nature! Whether that’s hiking, riding a bike, roller skating, skate boarding, etc. do it!
What is your new beginnings? Or do you have an idea of what it is? We don’t necessarily have to wait until spring to figure out or plan our new beginnings. You can set intentions now for your beginnings. Once you do, coexist with it as if it’s already happening. I set my intentions on going on a book tour to conduct motivational speaking engagements. I’ve always done speaking engagements, but been out the spotlight for some time. It’s time for me to speak again and reach out to those whose life will be changed.
Take time to reflect about how you want your new beginnings. What do you want to see change? What do you hope to accomplish? Remember you can achieve anything you set your mind on, but you must put in the work to get there. As the book of James in the bible said, “faith without work is dead.” Have an amazing day!
Great Ra’sing Readers! How was your weekend? Hopefully it was productive. Let’s abundant our rising to have an amazing day. May the work we do be an answer to our prayers. Express your gratitude to your higher power for the things you have in your life. I thank you for following and reading my blogs. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Everyday we are faced with challenges whether they are easy or difficult. The most challenging thing a person can go through is picking up the pieces of the puzzle after experiencing a tragedy. Such tragedies are; loss of employment, divorce, car accident, death of a child, parent, close friend, family members, etc. And most tragedies are traumatizing. It’s as if one’s life has come to a halt. One wonders how can they move on in life as if everything is okay.
One may become depressed, unable to live life abundantly. For them life has become a battlefield within themselves to either overcome or succumb to the pain. Society have this belief to prescribe medication to numb the pain instead of encouraging to feel and acknowledge the pain.
To acknowledge the pain, one must be determined to take back their power to live one day at a time. First acknowledge the pain. Then breathe as many times as you need until you are okay. That’s a huge step to accomplish. I’m proud of you. I know it wasn’t easy, but at least you got the hard part out the way. Keep going you can break through this! How did it make you feel? It’s totally normal to feel different emotions, some you may have not recognize. What matters is you’re expressing how it made you feel. Now the key is to reciprocate it. How? Let me explain. Let’s say you’re angry and you feel like hitting something. Get a pillow or a punching bag and give it your all. Release your anger. It’s something constructive, safe, therapeutic, and no one’s getting hurt. It feels good to let it out in a way you want to let it out. You are on the way to healing! Keep going!
Take time to acknowledge how it affected your life. Now are there any lessons derived from the pain? This part may call for introspection of your interaction with whoever or even yourself. You may have to break some habits to create healthy ones. Breaking old habits can be difficult. But you can do it by removing yourself from places, people, and things that will cause you to relapse. And it’s okay if you relapsed, because from there you’ll recognize your triggers. It may take a few times of falling before you gain the strength you need to kick the old habit to the curb. All that matters is you getting back up to conquer the day.
You gain your strength and power to live each day you get through. Continue to be in the moment using your five senses. Pray, meditate, go for a walk/swim and exercise to help you stay the course. Now there will be times you just want to stay in bed and not do anything. And that’s okay. It’s apart of self care. You may need to rest. Take all the time you need whether that be 30 minutes, an hour, or more. Only you know what you need.
Until next time my readers, take steps to take back your power. They say turn pain into passion. It’s easier said than done when one hasn’t got through the pain.
