Toxic Relationships

Great Ra’sing! How’s everyone doing? It’s Friday and I’m sure many of you are looking forward to the weekend to rest. Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May we continue to express gratitude for life and all the things it have to offer. Love and light! Now list five to ten things you are grateful for.

Let’s talk about toxic relationships. Most people associate toxic relationships with people they interact with. But have you thought about the relationship with yourself? Interesting question right? Everyone should have a relationship with themselves.

Can we all agree that in order for life to be meaningful, we must let go of toxic relationships we have with people? We all have some family members, friends, associates who are toxic. But it doesn’t necessarily mean we have to tolerate the dysfunction. You have to do what’s best for you and your mental health.

Now let’s address the toxic relationships we have with ourselves. This may be an uncomfortable topic for some, but hey you have to face the truth one way or the other. The truth is not always easy to digest, but it does set you free. Toxic relationships with yourself looks like this; calling yourself names (bullying), self doubt, self sabotaging behaviors, insecurities, drugging, abusing alcohol, binge eating, etc.

Whatever your toxic relationship is, address it then ask yourself what was the reason behind the relationship. Then work on a solution to that reason. Maybe the solution is therapy to help you set good habits with yourself. For example I used to binge eating years back. Sometimes I would eat just to be eating and I’m not even hungry. When it came time to address it, I realized it was my coping mechanism to deal with stress. I also realized I was in a trauma mindset, because I was starved as a young girl in foster care. It took me some time to change my relationship for the better with food.

I leave this message with you to release toxic relationships within yourself. How you perceive yourself is how people will perceive you. Always remember to take care of yourself first before anyone, because you need YOU! No one is going to have your back like you have for yourself! Have a great weekend! Love and light!

Rain Rain go away, but I think I want you to stay!

Great Afternoon Readers! I’m here today to do another blog post while it’s raining outside. Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May we continue to be grateful for life and the things it have to offer. So mote it be!

How’s the weather I’m your town? Are you getting some sunshine or is it snowing? It’s raining in my town and I usually feel sluggish. It’s odd how the weather can affect our moods. Our bodies just be going with the flow of Mother Earth. Sometimes it’s a good thing whereas it’s not a good thing.

Although I’m a fire sign, water is my favorite element. It keeps me calm and at peace. Sometimes it’s my reminder to take a step back and just breathe knowing everything will be okay. Whenever I feel myself getting angry and/or frustrated I have to get access to water quickly. Water will extinguish the flame within me quickly to prevent myself from exploding like a rocket.

In society people would mimic rain as a form of depression. It’s like Mother Earth is crying and I should cry too. What if Mother Earth is not crying tears of sadness, instead she’s crying tears of joy to bring forth more life. Rain (water) brings life to fruition. Several examples of life needing water; humans, plants, animals, etc. Water is a living element and many did not know that.

So with that saying about water being a living element that brings life, enjoy the rain. Go outside and get wet. Let the rain penetrate your skin as it soothes you. Twirl in circles, smile, laugh with your hands in the air thanking Mother Earth for rain. There may be some days in which you’ll have to be the water/rain sharing your wisdom with others in their journey. Love and light!

What About You?

Great Afternoon Readers! How was your day yesterday? I hope it was productive and relaxing. Let’s abundant our day before I dive into this post. Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May we express our gratitude for life so that we may continue to smile, laugh, heal, celebrate and so much more. Love and Light!

I’m sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather. The sun is shining brightly as ever and I’m loving every second of it. Yesterday, I took a walk at Delaware Park. The scenery was so beautiful. I enjoyed hearing the sounds of nature. I also enjoyed a few compliments from people as well as exchanging smiles with others. Overall it was a beautiful experience.

When you spend time with nature, you are relaxed, at ease, and clarity comes to you a whole lot more peacefully. As I’m currently listening to the beautiful sounds of the birds chirping, I think about my journey. It’s okay to outgrow people. And it’s okay for people to be in your life for only a chapter. All that matters is you know what you want. Don’t force people to stay in your life, because you’ve known them for so long and/or you don’t feel like meeting new people.

Take the time to get out and explore whatever resonates with your heart. Stop wasting your time with things and/or anyone that is not beneficial for you. Stop sacrificing yourself for someone thinking that they’ll change for you one day. Let’s face it, you’re not the person they’ll change for. You have to be okay with that. Why stay stuck in a situation-ship that doesn’t foster your growth nor help you to elevate in life?

Check this out, I came across a random post that said something like “the cemetery is the richest place on earth, because it’s where people’s dreams, aspirations and so forth are there.” That was deep. So many of us have dreams and aspirations that we want to pursue, but fear kept us back. Or it may be simply because we’re too busy people pleasing and helping someone else with their dreams. Or it may be because we rely on someone so much that we gave them power over us to think they will help us bring our dreams to fruition. But as soon as they turned your dreams into their own, you’re crushed and decided not to pursue your dreams on your own. Whatever the case may be, you’ve got to hold yourself accountable. Question yourself; “What about me?” Yea what about “you” and your dreams? That’s a serious question to ask yourself.

With all that being said, take time to reflect. Change your mindset and you’ll see everything will start to get better for you. It all starts within you. Only you can hold yourself back. Only you can move forward and strive to the top. Only you are responsible for yourself! Stop waiting until things go right for you, because it’s not until you make some changes in your life. Stop waiting until all your ducks are in order to make some changes in your life. Life is full of uncertainty and it’s forever evolving. Remember time waits for no one. Love and Light!

Great Ra’sing Readers! How was everyone’s weekend and Monday? I hope it was relaxing and enjoyable. I also hope it was a memorable weekend to thank all the mothers for their dedication in raising their children.

Let’s take a quick minute out of our day to abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May we express gratitude for our life to live, smile, laugh, heal, celebrate and all the things we desire. So shall it be!

Let’s talk about confusion. No one likes to be put in a position to be confused. But what matters is how we deal with the confusion. It could be a good thing or a negative thing. It depends on your mindset regarding it. We’ve been programmed that confusion is a negative thing and that is not always the case. Sometimes confusion comes into our life to teach us a thing or two by forcing us to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

When confused, pay attention to your emotions. Write them down and ask yourself questions if you have to. Such questions can be; “what emotion is this? What transpired to make me feel this way? What was I expecting? What is the message behind it?” Take time alone to meditate and seek clarity. But most importantly always remember “yourself”!

I challenge each of you to seek clarity in the midst of your confusion. Often times we’re not confused, we just missed a step and/or an important message. Also be very wary of people who tried to cause confusion in your life, because they themselves are confused. Even if you tried to show them the bigger picture to eliminate their confusion, it’s up to them if they accept it or wants to remain confused. Have a phenomenal day Readers!

Spring Cleaning Your Goals!

Great Ra’sing Readers! How are each of you are feeling? Hopefully you’re feeling amazing! Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May we express gratitude for life that gives us another day to heal, celebrate, smile, laugh and to do what we want to do. Love and Light!

Have you ever took the time to revisit your goals to see if they are still in alignment with your purpose? Sometimes whether it be intentionally or unintentionally we create goals that we want or think it would make life better. Anyhow it’s important to revisit your goals to see if some have been accomplished, pending, or need to be eliminated.

Where do you put your goals at? Some put them on vision boards. Some write it down on a paper then put it in a goal bowl or box. Some write it down in their planner and/or journal. Either way you should know what works to help you stay on track to accomplish them.

When revisiting your goals, pay close attention to your feelings towards it. Do you still feel passionate about it? If not, why is that goal there? Please don’t say to impress people, you’ll be miserable. It is totally fine to make changes to what you want to see happen in your life as long as you’re in alignment with your purpose.

Sometimes you may find yourself doing something that you didn’t think would be in alignment with your purpose. For example, I applied to be a model. At the time of first applying, I was just signing up for anything to keep me busy and occupied. As I continue to participate in model rehearsals, I realized it was in alignment with my purpose. Model was to help prep me for exposure in other words becoming use to the crowd. This was needed so I can face the crowd when I do my speaking engagements. Speaking engagements are one of my goals as well as being a blogger and podcaster.

With that being said, it’s spring time and it’s time to do some spring cleaning on your goals. It’s the perfect time to get back on track. Love and light!

What Flaws?!

Happy Friday my loyal Readers! May we abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. We are grateful for life. It’s another day to smile, laugh, heal, and do whatever makes us happy. Love and Light!

Yesterday, we talked about winning. The post challenge one to take the initiative to be proactive in their life. I touched on flaws briefly in the post. Winning is not all about obtaining a medal, it’s about having control of your life. Here’s the link if you haven’t read the blog: https://growingpains4evolution.blog/2022/04/28/keep-winning/

Today I’m following up on yesterday’s post with addressing our flaws. Addressing our flaws is a part of winning. Many of us don’t realize that our perception of our flaws is not other people’s perception. In other words what we may think is a flaw to us is not a flaw to the next person.

Sometimes we allow our flaws to hold us back unintentionally. It’s either because we’re not addressing it or we don’t realize it’s a flaw. For me I used to feel like my hearing challenge was a flaw, because there were limitations to the things I couldn’t do such as talking on the phone without a translator. It would be a headache when the translator interrupts my convo to tell me they have to switch me to another translator because they’re getting off of work. However I am grateful for the services they supply.

But back to flaws, we need to learn how to love all of us including our flaws. Flaws are what makes us so unique. Not everything is a flaw, sometimes your gifts are hidden under them until you are ready to embrace and love all of you. There will be times you have to break down your flaws as you grow into a more matured/wiser person. Trust the process. Stay positive and encourage. Don’t let your so called flaws determine/define who you are!!! BE GREAT!!!

Also, the first of the month is approaching. Y’all know what that means?? It’s time to get our affairs in order and be set for the month. Take time to reflect on the month of April. How was that month? Be sure to not bring anything negative from April’s month to May’s month. Check out this link where I talked about the first of the month, https://growingpains4evolution.blog/2022/03/31/the-first-of-the-month/

Have a phenomenal weekend. Talk to you again in May the new month full of abundance and new beginnings! I’m excited!!

Mind Your Surroundings!

Great Afternoon Readers! Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May our heartfelt gratitude is music to the Universe and/or higher power. So shall it be!

How’s everyone’s day going? I hope it’s going productive with laughs and smiles. Mines is despite my city experiencing snow once again. How are we having snow in April?? Just a few days ago it was summer. LOL! Hey gotta love New York and it’s flaws!! No complaints here, because I look forward to summer. I will not complain about the heat. I refuse especially when we had a very cold winter with way too much snow. No AC, I’m going to sweat it out and brace myself in the heat. LOL 😂 If it’s gets too hot, trust me I’ll turn on the AC. LOL 😂 look at me already giving in and summer not here yet. Haha!

Yesterday was a very interesting day. I attended a funeral to pay my respect on behalf of a friend. I used to always wear black to the funeral, but I decided against it and wore rainbow colors. Orange stood out the most in addition to my red hair. I didn’t want to be the center of attention, but I wanted to reflect my energy. My energy was contagious and electrifying. My aura caught people’s attention from the moment I drove myself to the gas station before attending the funeral. Compliments left and right.

As soon as stepped inside the funeral home, a few people pulled me aside to tell me my energy was welcoming. They said they were tired of seeing black and seeing people sad. But once they saw me it was like they had to say something and reach out to touch my arms. I’m very cautious of my surroundings, because I am empathetic. But I know my limitations and I have my healthy boundaries in place to protect me.

When I left the funeral, I was exhausted. All those energies I felt was as if I’ve absorbed it unintentionally. There’s a saying that you need to pay attention to how you feel after you leave a certain place and from speaking with someone. Be mindful of people, places, and things when it affects you. Because I was so exhausted yesterday, I couldn’t blog instead I had to rest. Having a cup of coffee did me no justice to give me energy. My spirit was like “I don’t think so! You’re resting!”

With all that being said, take time to listen to your body and rest even when you don’t want to. Challenge yourself to get to know yourself well to the point you know to avoid certain people, places, and things that make you feel a certain way. Always remember energy don’t lie. Your body picks up on energy before it signals your brain! Have a phenomenal day!!

Know Your Truth

It’s the weekend!!!!! Do you look forward to the weekend spending time with family, friends, and pets? Or do you prefer to have alone time with yourself enjoying the peaceful solitude of your home? Whichever you choose, just make sure you make the day count.

Alright let’s get down to abundanting our day for ourselves and our family before diving into this post. May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family. May our gratitude be felt and heard by the universe to be blessed with more abundance. We are grateful for life in which it gives us another day to smile, laugh, heal, and be happy. ASE!

So tell me what do you think the post, “Know Your Truth” is about? Do you think it’s about yourself, your life, etc.? Well let me tell you, it can be a combination of things. But what matters is you being honest with yourself. That’s knowing your truth in addition to living your truth.

It’s not easy acknowledging our truth. It’s quite a challenge, but good for us, because it helps us to grow. Take a look at every aspect of your life and reflect. Be honest with yourself especially when it comes to a particular thing that you don’t want to deal with. Ask yourself how come you don’t want to deal with that thing. What effect does it have on you? Acknowledge it and try to come to terms with it if you can’t get answers.

I always encouraged my clients to get answers when trying to get to the root of the problem. Often I already know the answers, but I don’t share with them until they have the answers. Why? Because if I share with them of the answers without them putting in the work, it will stagnate their growth. How? When they are done working with me, how would they be able to search for answers on their own when they are used to answers given to them? I don’t want them to encounter that roadblock.

When searching for answers it will cause us to look deep within ourselves. At times we may have to reach out to family/friends who may have a clue to the answers we’re looking for. For example I couldn’t understand why my biological mother nor family didn’t get me out of foster care. I’ve been in foster care for 14 years. I needed answers. So I asked several family members and my mother and they shared with me of their struggles. It made me understand and very appreciative of not being in their care. I would have suffered more trauma and they didn’t want that for me. Everything happens for a reason whether we want to accept it or not. But we must come to terms with it.

I acknowledged every aspect of my life. I came to terms with it. If it was something I could change, then I put in the work. If it’s not something I can change, then I change my attitude towards it such as my hearing challenge. It doesn’t make me any less of a person. From there I told myself, “I’m living my truth.” I don’t want any stagnation, because I’ll miss out on opportunities. This goes for all of you!

So with that being said my lovely readers, I challenge you to know and accept your truth. Ask yourself what do you want out of life and take steps to achieve it. Before anything, love yourself!! Have an amazing weekend!

Move In a New Direction

Great Ra’sing Readers! How are you feeling? I feel GREAT! It feels good to come back rejuvenated from my week long vacation with my heartbeats. Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family! May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family! We are thankful for life. It’s another day to smile, laugh, and so much more! ASE!

How was everyone’s spring break and/or week from last week? I hope it was relaxing and fun times with family, friends, and pets. During my spring break with my heartbeats I came down with a little cold. The weather is forever changing throwing my body on an emotional roller coaster. One day it’s 70 degrees then the next day it dropped to 30 degrees along with snow. I experienced all four seasons in one week which I’m pretty sure wreck havoc for many. Well that’s New York for me. Can anyone relate?

Today’s topic is about moving in a new direction. I was in deep meditation today where I was reminded by my ancestors to move in a new direction. Often times we may be afraid of change due to the unknown. It’s normal to feel skeptical, unsure, uneasy, etc., because we don’t know what we’re walking into. I come to share that change is good if we think with a positive mindset. Remember we are to see the good in everything if we want life to be good for ourselves and our family. Change come when we need to learn a lesson and/or to see what we need to change about ourselves for the better.

I encouraged you all to welcome change with open arms. Moving in a new direction can mean change jobs/careers, letting people/things that does not have your best interest at heart, anything that is not beneficial for you. Moving in a new direction is saying “greatness is arriving” and many cannot go where you’re going. You are elevating and many cannot have access to you or else your growth will be stagnant. What are you waiting for? If you keep getting so many signs and confirmations that you need to move in a new direction, YOU NEED TO DO IT!! You know the saying to go with the choice that scares you the most? And that’s because that choice will change you! It’s like you unlock a piece of you that has been locked for so long screaming to be free! You’ll be so relieved that you took on the challenge of facing the choice that scares you.

With that being said my lovely readers reflect on your life. See where you need to move in a new direction whether that be a job/career, relationships, home, friendships, etc. Above it all make each day count, because greatness is arriving!!!

Happy Friday!

Great Ra’sing Readers! How are you feeling? Did you get a good night’s rest? I hope you did. I also hope you are feeling rejuvenated from that good night’s rest. Let’s abundant our day for ourselves and our family! May our work and intentions be our prayer for good for ourselves and our family! It shall be done!

Today I don’t know what to write, but I’ll go with the flow of my hands typing. It never fails when my hands type or write away like nothing is stopping them at all. They always seem to capture the voice of my heart into typing/writing. They usually say it’s called script writing, because your mind is writing from your subconscious.

I’m still resting from Wednesday’s ordeal. As I paused to think about how I have so much to accomplish. The journey to success is always a lonely path. Your circle changed a great deal. People who you thought would be apart of your story were only a chapter. Whether we want to or not, we must accept each person’s purpose in our lives. Some purposes come to teach and change us while other purposes is to plant a seed of knowledge. It’s up to us to water it wisely or not. Each season carries a different reason of why we must go through what we have to go through.

Next week my heartbeats will be on spring break. I’ll be taking that break with them as we spend time together. We’re going to do family scrapbooking which is my favorite looking at pictures and so. I’ll be back to blogging after vacation on April 18th. Have a good holiday with family, friends and pets.
